Looking for some great things to do in Aberfeldy? Here are some personal reccommendations from some of our team.
We asked a selection of our team members to tell us their favourite things to do in Aberfeldy (and nearby in this beautiful part of Scotland), and here’s what they said! Please visit websites to check opening hours/dates before visiting!
Niamh’s top thing to do in the surrounding area of Aberfeldy
Davy & I love Active Kids near Perth with our daughter – a huge adventure site where kids can let off steam, and parents can enjoy some peace and a nice coffee! In Aberfeldy, Wee Adventures is great too, but books up fast..
The Scottish Crannog Centre in Kenmore was an amazing recreation of an Iron Age dwelling built over the Loch – this was recently lost in a fire, but the activities, museum, and costumed team make it still very much worth a visit. Great for all ages!
If you are a Scotch Whisky fan, you cannot miss a visit to Dewars Aberfeldy Distillery – but even if you are not a Whisky lover, the production process is fascinating, and who knows, they may convince you!
Vicki’s top thing to do in Strathtay, next to Aberfeldy
I will freely admit to being very biased, but if you fancy trying your hand at clay pigeon shooting, my husband and I run The Clay Game Company in StrathTay, warmly welcoming everyone from complete beginners to experts!
If open, you should try and catch a film at our local Birks Cinema. This is a great wee cinema and has a licensed bar that allows you to take your drink through to the auditorium. You can get a great curry at Chillies afterwards!
Being 100% honest, I rarely leave my kitchen long enough to take in the local attractions! But I would say do not miss the Birks of Aberfeldy circular walk – and if you are enjoying some snacks from our Deli as you go – Perfect!
