After a two year hiatus our farm tours are back!

We have brought back our farm experiences to Errichel and are looking forward to welcoming more visitors to our Highland Perthshire Hill farm.

To start the season off we have the Feed Round Tour on Friday mornings at 10am.  Joining Becky Newman on her feed rounds – be prepared to help fill buckets, hold gates and carry hay! The tour will give visitors the opportunity to meet the varied menagerie at Errichel Farm,  feeding ducks, hens, our Rare Breed Large Black Pigs, visit our Heritage Ark of Taste Orchard, see our Rare breed Shetland Cattle, Shetland Sheep, Highland & Shetland Ponies, Toggenburg goats, and between April and June there may be a chance to bottle feed some lambs.

Lasting about an hour, the tour is on foot and starts from Thyme Deli meeting point, passing by the duck pond before making its way into the farm enclosures.  There are opportunities for photos along the way and this is a great chance to enjoy rural Highland Perthshire.  You will be able to see iconic mountains such as Ben Lawers and Schiehallion, look across the Tay Valley with the Tay River wending it’s way from Loch Tay out to the East.

It’s important to note that we not a petting zoo, but a working farm.  Our animals live in open fields and are not always on hand to view up close.  This tour is best suited to children over 8 years olds and adults.  Young children are of course welcome to join us too, but will require careful parental supervision at all times.  If you are planning a day trip to Aberfeldy or are staying in Highland Perthshire, this is a great way to spend some time outdoors and is great for nature lovers.

We will be on foot for an hour, covering some steep, uneven and slippy ground.  You will need a pair of wellies or sturdy walking boots, waterproof and warm layers if the weather is being typically Scottish.  Don’t miss the opportunity to visit Thyme Deli & Bistro for ice creams, take away refreshments, picnic essentials or even stop in for brunch or lunch in the Bistro after your tour.

We will be hosting more on-farm experiences during the season, from Farm Walks to Archaeology and History Walks, Mindfulness walks in nature, Photography walks and additional Farm Tours.  We will keep you posted for more dates coming soon! We are so excited to be welcoming groups back again and sharing our family farm with visitors.   You can book your place on our farm tour on our website or contact us direct to find out more.  Scheduled regular tours run every Friday at 10am. There are additional Saturday morning tours during the season and if you are a group looking for a bespoke experience please enquire now. Spaces are limited, so early booking to secure your experience is strongly advised.
